Material-specific disposal charges

Landfill and transfer-station fees by material

Some materials have their own published disposal fees, surcharges, or acceptance conditions.

Explore official facility schedules for tires, mattresses, appliances, construction and demolition debris, and green waste. Each published fee must have a traceable source and checked date.

These pages show facility-specific published charges only. A material is not assigned a fee simply because a facility accepts it.

How material fees are recorded

A published surcharge is not the same as a general tipping fee.

A facility may charge a general per-ton rate, a separate flat fee, a material-specific surcharge, or a combination of published charges.

LandfillPrices preserves the fee structure described in the facility's official schedule rather than treating every material as if it had one universal disposal price.

What we record

  • Published fee amount The figure exactly as stated in the official facility schedule.
  • Billing basis Per ton, per item, per load, vehicle-flat, or another published unit.
  • Material applicability The material category and any distinctions explicitly documented by the facility.
  • Source and checked date The source name, direct source URL, and date the published information was checked.

Compare published rates

Compare disposal costs by state and material.

Use the comparison tool to examine collected facilities using their published per-ton rates, minimum charges, and vehicle-flat fees.

Estimates are calculated only when the published schedule provides sufficient information. Missing prices and unknown load weights are never guessed.

Research standards

Official schedules, transparent attribution.

Every published material fee must be supported by an identifiable official source and checked date. Facilities without published prices are not assigned estimated charges.

Reported fee changes and corrections are reviewed against their supporting sources before any directory record is updated.
